These rail mounts were designed with a few specific parameters in mind.  The first benefit the user will receive from this product is the low profile design of the rail mount when the rod holders have been removed.  This unit will work for any 7/8” rail (1” rail mounts available upon request) but has been adopted by nearly every owner of a Ranger style boat looking for a secure and quality rod holder system.  For example, Ranger boats use a very sleek fitted cover to protect the boat leaving little room for storage.

 This design allows you to always keep the rail mount on your boat while removing the rod holders/cross-plate with a simple lift of the solid brass plunger.  We have also machined a solid stop on the inside of the channel keys which are attached to the cross plate to ensure that the unit can only slide inboard, never outboard.

This unit has the ability to mount any combination of two rod holder styles (tube or cradle) to the cross plate.  Check out our extra Quick Release Rail Mounting Base for additional locations to secure your rod holders!
